We believe these aspects of a relationship with God are absolutely vital to your faith, and their existence help make for the joyful and fulfilling life that God desires for His followers. So, whether you’ve ever been a part of church, or not, we invite you to come as you are and connect with Springhill.
What are Worship services like at Springhill?
We have two services with different styles to connect with as many people as possible. Our first service, the Blend, is at 9am, and often features an even mixture of hymns and praise songs with a small band. Revive takes place from 10:30-11:45am, and is geared toward those who prefer a full band and a more modern environment. At either service, you can expect a loving, welcoming environment full of people who simply desire to set aside a short time during the week to focus their entire attention on God. During sermons, we seek to look at God’s word not simply as an intellectual exercise, but to learn how to practically connect with God in a deeper way.
What do I do when I get to Springhill?
When you arrive at Springhill, you will be welcomed by someone who will be ready and willing to direct you to the most appropriate places (ie. children’s wing, the youth wing, adult classrooms, sanctuary, etc.) Also, be sure to stop by our welcome center for a free gift to thank you for visiting. The best way to help us get to know you is by filling out a green and white Connection Card that you can find in the back of every pew and placing it in the offering plate at the end of each service.
Why be apart of a church?
The author of Hebrews writes to his audience, saying “Let us be concerned for one another, to help one another to show love and to do good. Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more…” (Heb 10:24-25a; GNT) As a church family, Springhill members strive to be an encouragement and a help to one another. We believe that the Bible teaches the importance of our relationships with each other as an inseparable part of our individual relationships with God. Jesus sought out Twelve disciples to relate to and consider family (Matt 12:46-50). And the natural result of Jesus’ death, resurrection, and ascension was not only for his followers to meet together for prayer and teaching, but to truly live as family (Acts 2:43-47).
Therefore, while Springhill would never claim to be perfect, we do the best that we can to live life together as a church family. What living life together looks like on a weekly basis is not only worship services on Sunday mornings, but includes meeting in small groups at church members’ homes, worship times designed for specific age groups, church wide dinners and events, and service projects to our local and global community. Through these meetings, events, and activities, we desires to worship together, encourage and teach one another, and grow closer to the God who has so drastically changed our lives.
